"Sharing the care since 1975"

Where It All Began

In 1975 Dr. Pat Brennan founded the Hermitage Veterinary Hospital. Caring pet owners came to appreciate the high quality medicine and care given to their pets at Hermitage. Families have been bringing their pets to the Hermitage Veterinary Hospital for more than three generations.

The Hermitage Veterinary Hospital offers a variety of services to pet owners. Besides our wellness programs we offer such services as dentistry, surgery, radiology, ultrasounds, and behavioral counselling. A complete list of services can be found under the "Services" tab on our site, or by calling one of our Pet Care Specialists.

The Hermitage Veterinary team is comprised of several dedicated veterinary professionals including 6 veterinarians, 10 Registered Veterinary Technologists, and 8 support staff. At Hermitage Veterinary Hospital, we apply high standards to all aspects of the care we provide; from our modern facilities and equipment, to the experience and ongoing training of the doctors and staff.

Our doctors and staff regularly attend courses and lectures to stay informed in the latest advances in the treatment and care of your pet. Here at the Hermitage Veterinary Hospital, we treat all pets as if they are one of our own.

We are dedicated to all pets including those who have passed on, those we currently care for, and those we will see in the future. - Dr. Ted Purcell & Dr. Kim Romanufa

Read What Our Clients Say

  • "I'm so glad someone else loves this place, too! My husband has been taking his animals here for 35 years and when I married into the family, I started bringing our pets here, too. They take the time to get to know you and your pet! We have 4 cats - 3 with special needs that are rescue cats that require special diets and medication."
